Juan Manuel Carballeda is an Argentine biologist, teacher, researcher, and communicator. He is the author of the books Breve Atlas Anecdótico de la Ciencia and Fiebre. Breve colección de epidemias (El Gato y la Caja). The latter received the Science with Ñ Award, granted by CEBE (Spanish Scientists in Belgium), and is part of the ABC Science collection, distributed to thousands of schools in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Both titles have been reprinted several times.

He also created the podcasts Oh, La Humanidad (Oh, Humanity) (2021) and Plutón (Pluto) (2025), among other outreach projects in various formats.
